Bilge works across three media with one instinct: reduce a thing to its boldest, simplest parts and let colour do the talking.

The digital portraits build faces from circles, half-circles and one hard triangle. The watercolours go the opposite way — wet on wet, layered until the pattern decides where it wants to go. And the needlework slows everything down: holes punched through fabric, thread pulled through by hand, one stitch at a time.

She works from a small studio, takes a handful of commissions each year, and posts most new work to Instagram first.
